Bielby's Hideaway

We had a very quiet, dark night and slept well in the big, comfortable bed. The cabin felt brand new and had everything we needed, including more cutlery options than we have at home. The BBQ area was great, and the sheep were friendly. TV reception came and went, but there were videos to watch. Optus reception was occasionally weak, and the internet struggled under the big tree. It’s near the end of the road, though still close to popular spots. Sweethearts Cafe nearby was a real treat for our anniversary weekend.

It’s a lovely, quiet location that’s easy to reach, and the accommodation and supplied amenities, including towels and cooking items, were excellent quality. I’d give it five stars if not for the connectivity. There was no phone or SMS service at the accommodation, so we had to go down the road to get a signal. The WiFi was useless too. We could only get it by standing at the front door, with none inside or nearby. I know the phone issue isn’t your fault, and we could have managed that on its own. But when a loved one died, we tried to make contact online and got the message too late because the internet didn’t work either. I’m not angry, but a WiFi booster and transmitter could provide a strong connection at the accommodation, perhaps in the BBQ area. Motels and caravan parks have this setup, and Telstra can advise on installing it. Apart from that, the location and accommodation were excellent. Thanks.

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay in this calm, peaceful place. Phone reception was barely available, and only outside, but that didn’t bother us. It’s a lovely spot for getting away from the hustle and bustle.

A quiet, relaxing cabin with everything well provided for. Jayne and Steve were lovely, obliging hosts, and it’s well located for visiting local attractions.
