Daintree Secrets Rainforest Sanctuary

I’ve loved Daintree Secrets over the years and already hope to visit many more times. Our stay just after Christmas was especially magical: we cooled off in the clear creek, got massaged beneath the waterfall, played cards on the deck, and cooked up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen. We also fit in rainforest and beach walks, and plenty more.

Even though I’m usually the last person to get in the water, the beautiful swimming hole beneath the waterfall was impossible to resist. The water was clear and drinkable, too. We had everything needed for a simple dinner, thanks to a kitchen stocked with utensils, salt, oil, and vinegar. The book of things to see and do was also really useful, with information on wildlife around the property, restaurant suggestions, and advice for croc tours.

Photos don’t capture how magical and beautiful this place is. We spent three nights in what felt like absolute paradise. The house is stunning, and everything was just right, including the new bathrooms and lovely hot water. Highly recommended.

Sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine, looking over the waterfall, river, and natural rock formations, felt like being in a beautiful national park. The house has loads of character, and you can see Katherine’s attention to detail throughout. It’s a special, unique getaway for a family or 4-6 people for a few days. We hope to experience it again.
