I thought the room was good, but the water and cafe situation brought down the stay. The cafe wasn't worth a visit, and the shower and other tap water looked dirty. We were told it was tank water, though I was still concerned about the way it looked. There were jugs of drinking water in the room, but the owner's response that the rainwater was triple filtered and safe to drink didn't change what I observed. They said the cafe was closed for family reasons and questioned how I could review it, but I was commenting on my stay at their motel. I felt the owner didn't like being called out over what I saw as inadequate facilities. I thought two stars was generous, and maybe I should let potential guests know about everything I noticed.

The location was quiet and lovely, with no road noise at all. The rooms were spacious, and the beds were huge. The kitchenette worked fine for three of us. It was a great place for a few nights, and we'd definitely come back.

Suzy, one of the owners, was really friendly and helpful. We stayed in a modern, clean suite with a big room and a king size bed. The back deck had a beautiful view, and it was a nice spot to sit with a drink in the afternoon.

There are still some rental places and small blocks of land for sale here, but this lovely place isn't a retreat anymore.

The room was tidy and lovely, and we appreciated the two jugs of drinking water and the milk for tea and coffee. The staff were so friendly, and the service was fantastic. We couldn't try the restaurant since it wasn't open, which was the only disappointment. We paid a more than reasonable price and would love to stay again if we're ever in that part of the state.
