That heated bathroom floor was an absolute delight, especially along with the wood fire for cold nights and the air conditioning. The cottage is tastefully decorated, well equipped and has comfortable beds, with a lovely outlook over the bay. A real gem, and I'd definitely stay again. Thanks so much to Essentially Tas for a perfect visit.

We had plenty of room to relax during our five nights at Castaways Cottage, and the stunning views made it even better. It was clean and well equipped, with luxurious towels and welcome underfloor heating in the bathroom. I did have to look up how to use the stove and washer-dryer, as the instructions in the compendium weren't enough. A lovely place to stay all the same.

We spent three nights over Christmas 2020 at the pleasant, pet friendly Castaway cottage, and had a really easy, comfortable stay. The beds were comfy, the outlook was beautiful, and the cottage was very well appointed. We were surprised there weren't instructions for the oven and hot plates when everything else had them. We managed by winging it. Thanks to Essentially Tas for making Christmas 2020 about the only thing worth remembering.

Quiet, quaint and cosy, with bay views and close to all the great walks nearby. It had everything we needed, and was our best stay in Tassie this trip. We'll definitely book again.

Such a disappointing experience 😔😔. The shower recess was dirty, as you can see in the photo. Do yourself a favour and avoid Ocean View Cottages in Dover.
