Orana Motel Dubbo

I’ve stayed here before and was happy to come back. It’s quiet, and the rooms are clean and well maintained. Staff are glad to help if anything comes up, and there’s a nice pool with towels provided. The gated motel also feels safer at night, especially with the car, since you need a code to get in after a certain time.

The managers clearly take pride in the place. The grounds and room were immaculately presented, and there’s a lovely pool area with a TV. I was here for work and had an excellent stay. The manager was friendly and courteous when we checked in. I’d definitely come back.

The room itself was quite good, apart from curtains that were worn through. My main issue was the Ling Ling restaurant. I ordered eggs on toast for breakfast and got lettuce with the eggs, plus water pooled on the plate. It also seemed like the toaster hadn’t been turned on. When I complained, Ling Ling replied that they serve Thai food and must be the wrongrestaurant. I stayed at the motel for three days, and there was a breakfast menu in the room. We were the only ones there when we ate. Please don’t treat me like an idiot. The breakfast and the response will bring down the Orana Motel’s rating. I know the restaurant is a separate business, but when room service breakfast is offered from there and they deny serving breakfast because they’re a Thai restaurant, someone needs to take responsibility.

The rooms were clean, comfortable, well maintained, and felt safe. The on-site restaurant served all meals, and everything I ate was delicious and satisfying. My stay at the Orana Motel was very enjoyable, but Shane’s help is what I’ll remember most. My electric vehicle charging ran into significant problems, and Shane stepped in to help. In the middle of a storm, at night, he even went out to cover the electric connection so it would be okay by morning. His thoughtfulness and proactive support made a frustrating situation manageable, and I felt reassured and looked after. Shane was warm, professional, and willing to help, and that made all the difference. It’s rare to see such care for guests. The motel really felt like a home away from home. I highly recommend the Orana Motel for comfort, good service, and especially Shane’s hospitality. Thank you, Shane, you’re a credit to the place.
