I’m in the room right now, and it isn’t the one I booked. I paid for a beach view room advertised on Agoda, but this room is on the other side of the building, where a beach view isn’t possible. The Agoda photos also showed an air conditioner, but there isn’t one in the room. Reception said it was an Agoda issue. Agoda told me their standard timeframe was 24 to 48 hours and that they’d try to sort it sooner. Neither the hotel nor Agoda has taken steps to fix it, so disputing the credit card charge is the only solution.

The room was nice, with good views and a spa, and the bush and sea setting was lovely. The meals were basic and poorly presented. The curry was mostly rice with six tiny pieces of chicken. The slow cooked lamb was just four small pieces of roast lamb with very few vegetables.
