We loved our 3-night stop here with the kids on the way to the Snowy Mountains. It’s a lovely place for a large family, with plenty to do around the property, and you could easily spend a whole day relaxing there. The location was great, and it was very clean and well managed. As a chef, I noticed there were lots of spices in the pantry, though some were past date and could probably be cleared out now and then. The vacuum cleaner battery also didn’t last very long. Neither was a big issue. We’d definitely come back next time!

Last July, my family and I loved our time at Edzell. We made sure to spend every night in the entertainment room, mostly playing pool. The house is beautiful, with lovely views of the snowy mountains and lake, which my family visited every day. Every room was great and the beds were comfortable. The electric blankets kept us warm at night, and being close to the shops made it easy to pick up groceries. I hope we can return soon.

We spent New Year for 2025 here with the whole family and had an incredible time. There was plenty of room and something for everyone, whatever their age. The 1970s-inspired interior has maze-like hallways leading to a games room that feels like you’ve passed through the gates of Narnia. Even the adults found that pretty exciting. We hope to make it a regular family stop when we come to Jindabyne.

The view over the lake in the morning and relaxing beside the fire at night make this a unique mountain stay. We’ve been here several times as a family and will be back again. There’s room for summer activities like fly fishing, hiking and mountain biking, as well as winter snow sports, all in a comfortable, luxe holiday setting. A true 5 star experience.

Edzell is a dream for a family looking for a luxurious snow stay. It’s beside lovely Lake Jindabyne, a short trip from town, and really close to the snow at Thredbo/Perisher. The beautiful house has two fireplaces, a well kitted kitchen, a comfortable lounge area and a bar. There are enough DVDs to keep anyone entertained if they don’t feel like snow, and a walk along the lake is recommended. Don’t miss staying here, it’s just what you need.
