The supermarket is right across the road, and Bretts wharf is just a few blocks away, so the location is very convenient. Evenings were quiet for road noise, though we could hear plumbing from other apartments. I think the main bedroom mattress is due for replacement, it wasn’t great.

It feels like home to me, so I came back after my first stay and my trip to Japan without hesitation. This time I stayed longer while sorting out my move back to beautiful Brisbane, which is home for me, and I loved it. Cameron manages the property so well. He’s extremely professional, helpful and hospitable, and always makes guests feel welcome. He helped however he could, and I really appreciated it. The range of rooms suits different needs, from studios to larger apartments. I’ve now stayed in both types and can highly recommend them, depending on what you need. On my first visit, I spent three nights here before leaving for Japan. I love this location, which has felt like home to me over the years in Brisbane. My room was quiet as requested, so I could rest and sleep well. The service was excellent, and Cameron was very helpful. It was great to prepare meals and do laundry, with anything else I needed close by. Thank you again, Cameron.

We stayed in a beautiful two bedroom apartment, and the weekend self check-in worked well. It was very spacious, with comfortable beds. A minibus taxi from the airport cost $50. Coles is across the road, but there wasn’t enough kitchen equipment to cook dinner for a family of four. We should have checked first before choosing what to make. There was no large pot, so we had to boil the pasta in three batches. It looked clean at first, but really needed a deep clean. There was dust along the carpet edges and by the doorways, and in the bathrooms too. Hair and debris from previous guests were left in the shower and bathtub, so we had to rinse them before bathing the kids. The laundry room needed a proper clean as well, the dryer lint catcher was full and the washing machine detergent drawer was really gross. Even so, it was good value, comfortable and in a great location, and I’d stay again.

The communication was very helpful and responsive, and check-in was straightforward, which I appreciated. Still, I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. The unit smelled like cigarette smoke mixed with air freshener. The sofa and carpets were visibly filthy, and although the kitchen was clean and well equipped, the rest of the three bedroom unit was disgusting. The tiles seemed never to have been mopped, and came up black when wiped. There was mould in the main bathroom silicone, and the ensuite smelled of mould, with the ceiling covered in it. There were hairballs in the bathroom too. Cleanliness and hygiene seriously need to be reviewed. I would never stay here again or recommend it. This was my second visit. The first, a few years ago, was fine, and we rebooked because the location is good. I hesitated after reading newer reviews, but booked anyway.
