The escarpment views through the windows are what make this spot so special. A lovely place, and definitely worth visiting. 🤩✨⛰️

The deck has an incredible view, and hiking trails start right outside. It’s easy to find, though you can see the neighbouring cabin from the Chalet. It was vacant while we stayed. One thing to know: the listing says there’s drinking water, but signs at every faucet say it isn’t safe to drink. BRING DRINKING WATER.
Waking up in or above the clouds feels like a really unique experience. The furnishings could be more comfortable, and you’ll need to bring your own food and be self-sufficient, though that wasn’t an issue for us. Still, it’s an amazing place.
The Chalet sits at 1400m, right where the beautiful walks in New England National Park begin. The kitchen is well equipped and the bathroom is good, but you need to know how to light a fire to keep warm, even in summer. The view is the best I’ve seen from any accommodation in Australia, especially watching the sunrise from your pillow. I almost want to give it no stars so nobody else goes and I can live there, but it gets 5+. Don’t go, you’ll hate it!
From the balcony, the view stretches over the valleys toward the sunrise. At 1500m, it’s an incredible, truly unique place surrounded by rainforest and alpine scenery. A magical spot.
