Clocktower Suites

The stairwell was filthy, and an old dead cockroach stayed there for all three days. It looked like it had been there a long time. The dirt was unacceptable. There was thick dust on the bathroom windowsill and the side of the mirror cabinet, too. Whoever is cleaning these rooms needs to be sacked. We had only one toilet roll for our entire three-day stay, and thank goodness we didn’t have diarrhoea. There was no bath plug, so having a bath would have been tough. We only had two towels, meaning we couldn’t have one for washed hair and one for the body. Definitely not worth the money, and we won’t return, although we will visit Echuca again.

I stayed in the Exchange Suite, which has its own side entrance rather than access through the main building. It includes a parking space under the carport. The room was beautiful and spotlessly clean. The building is beautiful and old, and close to the CBD. The suite is only reached by stairs, with no lift, so it won’t suit people with mobility issues. Unfortunately, the internet was very patchy, apparently because of the building.

The hosts went far beyond what we expected when illness in the family meant we needed to tailor our stay to suit our needs. Thanks so much. It’s a fantastic place in an amazing old building, close to everything. The Grande rooms are large and nicely appointed.

The Post Masters room was breathtaking. The pictures don’t do this amazing place justice. Naomi made us a fresh breakfast in the morning, which was very welcome. My girlfriend and I stayed for one night. Naomi warmly greeted us at the gate, gave us a tour and a quick history of the place, then showed us to our room. She’s a welcoming host with plenty of experience in hospitality and travel. We’ll definitely stay again.
