The rooftop was a nice spot to sit, and the bathrooms were clean and good. I stayed for two weeks and enjoyed it. It’s smaller than the other Base or Nomads, with smaller rooms, the largest having 8 beds, but the atmosphere was nice. Central Station is just up the road, with shops and supermarkets nearby. Reception staff were super friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and vacuumed each morning, and there was enough space in the kitchen to store food. Smoking isn’t allowed. I had a good time and would come back.

They let me check out late, which was a great start to my day. I had a nice stay: the beds were clean and comfortable, and the bathrooms were fine too. It’d be better if towels were free or available for a deposit instead of having to rent them.

The sheets and bedding seemed very clean, and I saw the cleaner scrubbing the shower floor. The bathrooms looked reasonably clean to me, despite what other reviews said, though I brought thongs so I wouldn’t have to shower barefoot. We arrived at 1:30 am and the friendly girl at reception helped when we couldn’t get the air conditioner working, but it never did work. Our room smelled pretty bad at first, though opening the window cleared it out. There were also lots of cockroaches and bugs. Just remember this is budget accommodation, so you get what you pay for.

The room was only okay, a little stale and stuffy, but big city hostels can be like that. Staff were friendly and sensible. It wasn’t a loud party hostel like other Base hostels I’ve stayed in, which suited me. I had a good stay.

There wasn’t much service, so I can’t really comment on that. The breakfast vouchers were amazingly good, and the location was great, convenient and easy to find. The room itself was quite nice, though it smelled a little stale.
