The staff at Voco Brisbane City made a great first impression. They were consistently friendly, greeted us, and clearly tried to make the stay enjoyable. The rooms were lovely, and a river view is a real treat. The outlook had me thinking it would be a brilliant place to watch New Year's fireworks. Getting around was easy. Queen Street and nearby areas are a short walk away, there are several bridges for a scenic stroll to South Bank, and Roma Street, Central, King George Square and South Bank stations are all walkable. Breakfast had plenty of good choices, though the buffet felt a little pricey for what I could personally eat. Room service was good overall, but the corn-crusted chicken burger wasn't quite to my taste. I had another place booked for the second half of my trip, then cancelled it to stay here longer. I'd definitely choose this hotel again for future Brisbane trips.

The bed was really comfortable, and the curtains kept the sun out well. Our room's air-conditioning unit was a little loud, though, and cut into our sleep. Check-in staff were polite, helpful, and responsive when we needed them. If you're driving, keep in mind the car park height limit is 1.8m. We had a really lovely stay at the Voco, thanks.

The staff handled a couple of light and fridge problems quickly, and Glen and his team even covered our room service and left us a bottle of wine. Such a thoughtful touch. We came for New Year’s Eve fireworks and a quiet romantic break. We could see most of the display from our room. Shops and restaurants were an easy walk away, the pool was a welcome place to cool off after a hot day, and we enjoyed the buffet breakfast. We had a lovely stay and would happily return.

Lucy really made the stay special. She looked after us the whole time and had great recommendations. The rooms were spotless, serviced every day, and had everything we needed. Getting to the pool and gym was easy, and they even offer table service by the pool. We had an amazing time and can’t wait to come back.

The room felt fresh and modern, and my upgrade as an IHG member gave me a fantastic view over the Brisbane River and Victoria Bridge. I’m enjoying my first solo stay at voco Brisbane City Centre. A note for anyone driving: you have to go outside to get from the carpark to the lobby, there’s no internal access. I gave the location four stars because the main dining areas are about a five-minute walk away. Still a very pleasant stay so far.
