On the second day of my three day stay, housekeeping woke me with relentless knocking to ask if I was checking out. I told her I had another night, but she said they didn't have that information and moved on to bang on the next door. Since staff had woken me for no reason, I later called the 24/7 hotline to ask for a 60 minute late checkout the next morning. The person took a while to understand, which was fine, then read out the policy and said there was a charge. I explained that since staff had woken me, the least they could do was let me sleep an extra hour. He said he needed his manager's approval. While I was on hold, I heard him answer another check-in call nearby. I gave him the benefit of the doubt, but after 22 minutes I called from the other line on my phone and he answered immediately. He then said he couldn't reach his manager and his shift ended in 15 minutes. Was he planning to leave me on hold for those 15 minutes? He just repeated that he needed approval. The hotel's no-reception setup makes no sense when guests have to call the number on the door for a check-in link, security staff are there to explain that, and the phone is answered 24/7 anyway. The hotline may be in MNL after all. They're charging rates close to international hotel chains, but staff don't have guest details and the cost cutting seems to be costing them money. I've had better stays at one star hostels that were fire traps. I'd prefer one of those to these infuriating procedures and unprofessional service. Minus 15 stars.

Very clean and close to Brisbane City. There was road noise, but the online receptionist was helpful and efficient. Check-in was quick, entry was easy, and the online messages helped me find my room. I asked for a front window and got one, but next time I'll stay in a back room.

Check-in was easy when we arrived around 8pm, and parking was easy to find. The 24 hour security made the place feel safer and helped us with the door code. The room was tidy, the bed was nicely made, and we had fresh towels and tea and coffee. There was no elevator, which didn't bother us as we were young and fit, but it could be difficult for older or disabled guests. The shower was cramped, and we had to keep the door closed so the smoke alarm wouldn't go off. Afterward we went to watch TV, only to find it broken. Reception was available around the clock, but they couldn't fix it. We still slept well on the comfortable bed, and they gave us a late checkout because of the TV problem. Aside from that, it was a pleasant stay and we'd come back.

Traffic noise carries in from the street, and sound gets into the room easily. The shower is extremely cramped, and there are no elevators.

I had a very pleasant five-night stay and would choose this hotel again. The room was small, as expected for a three-star place, but clean and equipped with a new TV, air conditioning, a mini fridge and a desk. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom had been renovated. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. The manager was considerate and polite, the receptionists gave outstanding service, and housekeeping were just as courteous. I checked in at night, and my key had been left in a safe place. The hotel is close to bus stops in both directions to the City and near RBWH. Thanks for the warm welcome.
