The clean bed linen was the reason we decided to stay the night, but we only stayed once and wouldn't return. Cheerabah has lovely views and a great feel for the Australian landscape, yet the resort is sadly neglected by its current owners and needs a proper health check. There’s so much potential here, and it needs someone to step in and rescue it. Jess, the lovely host, and her cooking team were the saving grace. Dinner was served in a beautifully designed rustic area, just what you'd expect at a rural resort. The food was good and the service was great. The cabin was no more than half a star. Millipedes were crawling everywhere, old rubbish had been left behind the bins, and the toilet was blocked. Every flush sent water over the bathroom floor, where there were old tissues. There were no window coverings, so we had no privacy while dressing. We're world travellers, and even our room in Beijing was in better condition. This place could become an international standard resort, but it needs help.

We still had a great Easter weekend, but the campsite situation felt like a stitch-up. We were told the main campgrounds were fully booked, so we set up near reception and used the cabin amenities. They were OK, though they need renovations. On a drive to get firewood, we saw only three campers in the main camp. This place has heaps of potential and just needs a bit of love.

The animal experience was lovely for the kids, and Jake was really good with them. He took us around to see all the animals and let them feed them. The staff were awesome, helpful and friendly, and the chef was very friendly too. The food was great. We had the best family weekend and can't wait to come back. If you like animals and nature, it's a must see.

Children can get close to the resident animals, and there are plenty of activities, including clay shooting, 4WD tracks, quad biking and horse riding to explore the property. The staff are genuine and very accommodating, and they do their best to make sure you enjoy your stay. The Homestead has a rustic look and an amazing fireplace for cooler nights. With breathtaking views and picturesque sunsets all around, this place proudly shows off the lucky country we live in. They can cater to all sorts of travellers, from solo visitors to groups. If you want to relax, experience what our country is really about and make lasting family memories, I highly recommend staying here.

We were there for a wedding, but after the reception we had to drive home. The sliding screen door wouldn't slide, both the shower and basin taps leaked a lot, and the floor was dirty. It only got worse, so we packed up, got a refund and left. I wouldn't recommend the place to anyone for anything. It only got one star because I couldn't give it none.
