Emerald Highlands Motel

The location was handy for shops and Woolworths, but the motel still felt quiet and private. We enjoyed sitting outside at the table and chairs, and parking right by the door made things easy. The gardens were beautifully kept, with flowering plants all around, and the pool looked inviting. Our room was spotless and cosy, with tea and coffee, a comfortable bed, and a shower with plenty of hot water and great pressure. Our dogs were welcomed without any fuss, and the other guests with pets seemed relaxed too. A friendly, comfortable place to stop in Emerald.

The room was clean and practical, and being close to the highway didn't mean much road noise. Staff were friendly, though communication and confirming the booking could be tricky because their English was quite broken. There seemed to be some longer term residents, and I did hear a little noise, but it wasn't disruptive. Two kids were very inquisitive and asked guests what rooms they were in. The fire map on the back of the door looked out of date, since the laundry is at the back of the complex, not by reception. The washing machine takes $2 coins. It is pet friendly, but we were charged an extra amount on arrival on top of the room price, even though it was advertised as pet friendly online.

The owners and staff were friendly, and the rooms have a warm, welcoming feel. The shower pressure was great. McDonald's and Woolworths are just around the corner.

A real hidden gem. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with new beds, and the owners were kind and friendly. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
