The front desk person was so kind and supportive when we arrived, and we slept well enough to leave feeling refreshed. We’d needed an emergency stop while travelling south because the driver became ill, so I called the closest hotel and was able to get a room. For a reasonable fee, they let us bring our assistance dog. The room was plain, but clean, with comfortable beds, fresh sheets, pillows and towels, plus crockery, a jug, tea, coffee and milk in the fridge. It was on the ground floor near the office. An exhaust fan in the bathroom would have been nice.

A picture frame that wasn’t hung on the wall fell on my head while I was sleeping. The bathroom was dirty, with hair in the toilet, and the toilet drain was clogged and smelled like feces. The electric kettle leaked, and there was no internet. When we arrived, the room had one full bed and a bunk bed instead of what I’d requested when booking, one full bed and two small rooms. That part was okay, but the rest of the motel was terrible. I think they should replace the manager.

I’m pissed off and dissatisfied with how this turned out. I wouldn’t return, and I’ll tell people not to book at this motel. I’d booked one night for a work stay, but ended up at the hospital all night and never got to use the room. I called before 8pm, when the front office closed, to explain why I couldn’t stay. The front desk staff were rude and didn’t understand. They abused me for calling before closing, said it was too late to get my money back, and told me they didn’t care about my excuse and it wasn’t their problem. I booked through booking.com, and they tried to get my money back, but the motel wouldn’t refund it. I wouldn’t even give this place one star if I could.

The room was nice enough and worked fine for an overnight stop. The other guests and the local area felt a bit sketchy.

It’s just off the highway, and the rooms are always clean. I stay here regularly and recommend it.
