A quiet, comfortable place near the ocean, with a pool and laundry machines. Our unit had a nice kitchen, and there’s a grocery store and restaurants nearby. The property is beautiful, full of tropical trees and plants. The operator knew the local activities and restaurants well and helped us choose some real winners from all the options. I had a great time and would happily stay again.

The jungle surroundings were beautiful, and the quiet street and private pool made this a relaxing spot to wind down after our busy trip. The clean rooms had distinctive local decor, and you can see the owners’ personal touch. My family enjoyed staying here as a base for adventures, and the owner knew a lot about nearby attractions. I only wish the kitchenette had a better matching set of plates and bowls for four, though it was about what I’d expect from similar hotels or Airbnbs.

We spent a week at Villa Marine in May and loved the veranda, shaded by tropical plants, and Peter’s amazing artefact collection along the verandas and in the rooms. The apartment was clean and comfortable, with laundry access. It’s next to a patch of rainforest and a short walk from the beach. As birders, we found the location ideal, close to Cattana Wetlands and Yorkey’s Lagoon, and just a short drive from Cairns Esplanade and the Botanical Gardens. Smithfield shopping centre is nearby too, with everything we needed for self catering in one place. Peter and Romy were excellent hosts. They went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed and shared loads of information about places to go and things to see. We’ll definitely be back!

A vehicle breakdown brought us here by chance, and the staff met us with such understanding and kindness. The room was lovely and clean, with lush gardens and a tropical pool. What a hidden gem, highly recommend!!!

Quiet spot, just 50 meters from the beach. Peter and Romy went above and beyond to meet our needs. Best service in Cairns, highly recommended.
