Mayfield Vineyard

We ran out of drinking water on our last night, and there wasn’t even a complimentary bottle of wine. The price is way too high for what you get, and I’d give the place zero stars. The garden flat was a huge disappointment. The bathroom was old but usable, while the kitchen was disgraceful, with stained material covering the cupboards. The lounge was badly stained and so uncomfortable we couldn’t sit on it. First thing through the front door, we saw a filthy carpet stained with mud; the Venetian blinds and windows were filthy too, covered in thick dust. I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay here. It really isn’t fit for humans.

The grounds are lovely and scenic, with animals to see as you walk around, plus quite a few cottages to stay in. We stopped by the Mayfield cellar door today and had a tasting for two. Lisa served us and explained the wines so well. I liked everything we tried, especially the Riesling. Thank you, Lisa! Highly recommend a visit next time you’re in Orange.

Our guests loved the on-site accommodation, the venue, the wines, especially the Riesling, and the general vibe. We held our 30-person micro-wedding at Mayfield over the Aus Day long weekend, and it turned into the best weekend getaway we’ve ever had. We left with great memories. It’s an amazing estate for a wedding.

Even with rain all weekend, the indoor spaces were set up beautifully and felt warm and welcoming. We couldn’t really use the outdoor areas, but Mayfield Vineyard still had a cosy, elegant charm that made our wedding feel intimate and special. The venue was stunning in the weather. The staff were lovely, prompt, and attentive the whole weekend, going above and beyond with the setup and our guests’ needs so everything ran smoothly. A huge thank you to the team at Mayfield Vineyard for making the celebration wonderful and unforgettable despite the rain. We’d highly recommend it for a gorgeous, stress-free event! Tessa & Marek
