Hillarys Harbour Resort

The room felt old and smelly, with no ventilation, no views and a balcony facing the alleyway and backs of restaurants. Traffic, bins and restaurant trolleys kept things loud all night. Outside our room, construction crews were grinding and redoing the hotel tiles throughout our four night stay, starting at 6.30am. We couldn’t sleep or relax, and my complaint wasn’t acted on. The room was also very hot, and the balcony sucked. After travelling 16hrs from home and paying good money, we expected so much better. Very unacceptable. Wouldn’t come back and do not recommend.

The beds were super comfy and warm, and there were comfy couches too. The rooms are slightly dated, but nicely styled and had all we needed to feel comfortable, especially with our 1 year old. Lots of restaurants are nearby along the boardwalk, and it was great value for money. My wife and I had a very comfortable stay. We’d stay again.

The harbour view was great, and the secure basement parking was adequate. The facility felt safe, and it was fairly convenient for exploring West and North of Perth. Our well furnished room had what we needed, including a washing machine, dryer and dishwasher. The downsides were pubic hair in the bathtub and just 1 fan coil unit in the living room. In winter June it was slow to heat our rooms.

AQWA is just next door, and there’s a nearby counter where you can book a day trip to Rottnest Island. Good food, friendly locals and a good location. The apartment was a bit worn down, but it worked and was extremely confortable for the 4 of us. Just love it, it was an awesome experience and we’re planning to come here again.
