We’re happy to recommend this family and dog-friendly park, though that might make it harder to book our own getaway next year. The owners are accommodating, the place is well appointed and tidy, and the staff really care about guests’ experience. We’re returning campers after a medical emergency cut one party member’s holiday short last year. They let us transfer last year’s payment to this year, with no fuss. We only had to ask, and the staff were understanding. The amenities are great: a pool to cool off after travelling, a tidy camp kitchen for socializing, and laundry with everything needed for a bit of home routine. The clotheslines get good sun, and the shady concrete sites are clean and easy to access. One night some guests were rowdy late, but the owners and staff addressed it and went above and beyond to protect everyone’s quiet enjoyment. We stayed on a site, not in a cabin, so my room rating is for that, though I assume the cabins would be just as good as the rest of the park.

A lovely small park in Central Victoria. The pub is easy to get to, serves great food, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean and looked updated, about 4.5 stars. The creek was fun to paddle in, but the water barely flows, seemed a bit stagnant, and access is very limited. Timber steps might help. Four stars for that. The pool was more of a concern: whenever we swam, the water didn’t seem to be flowing or filtering. After 20 kids had been in it, we were uneasy. It also got very crowded, and adults rarely had room to swim with the kids. During the holidays, maybe kids could have set pool hours until 7 or 8 pm, so adults can relax there afterwards. We went in with other adults around 6 pm and had a peaceful swim until the little monsters showed up and went wild again. Yes, we have kids too, but not that feral. Pool: 3.5 stars.

The amenities block was beautiful and clean, and the outdoor spaces were lovely, neat and tidy. We stayed three nights, enjoyed it thoroughly, and will definitely return sometime soon. It’s within walking distance of town. A bonus was seeing a Mumma duck with her new clutch of ducklings.

We had a memorable camping trip, and both the kids and adults enjoyed it to the max. The park was one of the cleanest we’ve stayed at. Staff were approachable, friendly and helpful, and we often saw them cleaning and checking that everything was in order. The playground, pool and even the portable toilets were clean. I parked beside a billabong under a big gum tree, a very Aussie spot. It’s a beautiful dog-friendly caravan park, with wonderful staff, the cleanest amenities I’ve ever seen, and a great little pool for a quick dip. I met some lovely travellers and will definitely be back. Highly recommend.
