Summit Ridge Alpine Lodge

The included breakfast had lots of choices, and the coffee machine kept everyone in our group happy. We also enjoyed dinner at the restaurant one night and did a wine tasting another evening. After skiing, we booked a daily 30-minute turn in the spa and sauna, and the accommodation ski track conveniently finishes in front of Summit Ridge. Ann & Keith made everything easy, from booking and communication to welcoming us and looking after us throughout. Our room was lovely, with a spacious modern bathroom, a comfy king bed on the mezzanine, a view of the slopes, and enough room for the couch to open into a double bed for our son. There’s also a games and TV area near the rooms, plus a cosy restaurant sitting room with a fireplace. It was a perfect place for our annual Falls Creek trip, and we’re looking forward to coming back next year.

We really appreciated the warm welcome. Breakfast was generous, with plenty of choices for a hotel at this altitude. I’d recommend staying here, and eating here too.

The food was beautifully presented and delicious, and the staff made us feel welcome. We loved everything we ordered, especially dessert, which was so good I forgot to take a photo and just left an empty plate 😂. One small thing: after we ordered a bottle of wine, we had to top up our own glasses, whereas staff usually do that at fine dining places.

We chose the five-course degustation and every dish was flavourful, carefully presented, and nicely balanced. The wine went really well with the courses. The staff were welcoming and attentive all evening, and the warm, elegant atmosphere made it a lovely night out. Highly recommend for great food and service.
