Burgess Beach was our last stop in Forster. The interesting rocks looked promising for photos on Google, and the place definitely lived up to expectations. The surf was far too big for swimming, but I found a rock to sit on before settling into the sand and letting the seawater wash over me. It was really nice, and a great spot for photography.

The waves crashing against the rocks give this quiet, secluded beach a character of its own. There’s a ramp for access and plenty of parking. You may see locals fishing or watching the sunset, but it’s a lovely spot if you’re after some solitude and inspiration.
We came hoping to catch the sunrise, apparently this is the best spot for it, but clouds got in the way. Still, it was a lovely morning, and the rock formations made the beach interesting.
Tucked between the rocks, this is a nice beach with plenty of safe spots to swim or shelter and work on a tan.
There’s a car park just before this beautiful Forster beach. Head right to find a lookout with lovely photo views. Just be aware there are no bathrooms nearby.
