The units feel brand new, with spotless rooms and good furnishings. The staff and service were great, and there’s a nice park for kids to play in, plus the market is very close. The Wi-Fi was a bit slow and tricky to connect to. We’d love to come back.

We were heading to the Spirit of Tasmania for a 10pm sailing, and paying for a late checkout gave us a really relaxing day beforehand. The park is handy for getting around too, about 10 minutes from the Geelong foreshore and roughly 30 minutes from Torquay Beach and Queenscliff. There’s plenty of shade from the trees, and the grounds and amenities were always very clean. Although it’s near the freeway, traffic noise wasn’t an issue for us. Everyone we met, from reception to the groundskeepers, was welcoming and went out of their way to help. I rarely write reviews unless a place is really bad or really good, and Geelong Holiday Park was amazing. We’d definitely stay again.

We spent Easter on an ensuite site and really enjoyed the stay. The kids had lots of room to ride around and especially liked the basketball court. The coffee cart and extra activities the caravan park put on over Easter were a nice bonus. The park was well maintained, the amenities were very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Having Coles and other shops within walking distance was handy, and the amenities were clean with a well-equipped camp kitchen. The pools are very small, but they did the job. The half basketball court was good for older kids, though children playing cricket on it took up a lot of the space. The other kids' facilities seemed aimed more at younger ones. I didn’t see a coffee van while I was there, and the park could use a kiosk. Bathrooms also need a mop or squeegee for guests to use after showering. The powered sites are very small, with outlets shared between two or four sites, so it was hard to run an extension cable behind other campers. They’re beside a main road and bridge over the Barwon river, and the traffic noise was awful. For the price, I expected better. Nobody mentioned this at booking or check-in, and those sites should cost a lot less to be acceptable. The groundsman was often grumpy and rude to children for no real reason, though the other staff were pleasant. The park was OK, but I won’t return.

Our powered site had heaps of room, and the pools were pristine with lovely landscaping. The staff were so friendly and helpful too. It’s a perfect spot for a Geelong footy match or a trip on the Spirit of Tasmania. We had a great stay and will definitely be back. Regards, Kirstin and Kevin McIntosh
