There was stranger's pubic hair on the bathroom floor, and the room smelled bad. The pub next door played loud music late into the night. I understand that we were staying in the central CBD, and that might be fine if you're out partying, but the rooftop bar was about ten feet away. Even if you pay next to nothing and expect very little, this still won't feel like a nice place to stay. Just don't stay here.

There are so many stairs and no lift, and the building has no ventilation. The rooms were hot and stuffy, smelled as soon as we walked in, and felt like boxes. There was no AC, just a noisy box that barely brought in any cold air. The kitchen was below what the ad described, with terrible ventilation for cooking. The walls were so thin we could hear the neighbours, and there were some brown things in the bed base that I found really disgusting. The rooms weren't as described. I wouldn't recommend anyone stay here. It doesn't seem safe for children or anyone else, and you could become sick. For your safety and convenience, book somewhere else. It's a terrible place.

That bed was AWESOME! The room was huge, with everything needed for a few days away, and the location was excellent, within walking distance of the shopping centre, beach, cafes and pubs. A little dirty though, with sticky tiles and crumbs over the lounge, and sound carried from the other rooms.

The location is amazing, just a 3 minute walk to the waterfront and 2 minutes to Westfield, with everything close by. Staff were limited in number but very helpful. The price was affordable, and for that it was okay, though the property is old and could use some renovation. Our two-bedroom apartment had just enough facilities for a one-night stay if all you need is somewhere to sleep.

The bed linen was good quality and the shower was clean and worked well. Apart from that, the apartment smelled of stale cigarette smoke and felt dark and gloomy. It needs a facelift, and painting it a light or white colour would help. The cleaner was very apologetic after walking into my room before I'd checked out. Thankfully I was dressed, but it startled me. They need a better way to tell cleaners who has checked out and who hasn't.
