The room smelled strange and didn’t feel fresh when we arrived. It was very dusty, with spider webs everywhere, as if it had been shut up for ages. When my kids unfolded the bedsheets, we saw visible marks on them. It was too late to reach reception, and since we were just staying one night before continuing our trip, we had to make do. My husband sprayed the whole room so the kids wouldn’t get bitten, and a very large spider died after he sprayed. We paid $200 for this room, and it absolutely wasn’t worth it. The hotel needs to improve its cleanliness and room maintenance. Very disappointing.

We needed somewhere to sleep after a gig in Torquay, where the prices put us off staying. This motel worked perfectly for that. The room had a musty smell, and the bathroom door wouldn’t stay shut, which was awkward with three people in the room.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and really helpful. Handy spot too, with Woolies and a bottle shop across the road and a pub next door.

The bistro meal next door was great, and there’s drive-through coffee a few doors down and a good Woolworths across the road. For an overnight business stay, the room was clean, large and had all the features I could want. It’s dated in style, but that’s what you’d expect from a country motel. I might bring an extension lead next time since the power point may not be where you need it. I was pleasantly surprised and will absolutely stay again.

It was very affordable, and the motel was so clean. A bit older, but still lovely. The cleanliness was 10/10, and I’d definitely stay again.
