Sails Geraldton Accommodation

The family room was really spacious, and everything else about the stay was great. The only drawback was the single air conditioner, which didn’t quite cool the room enough. Geraldton was an easy town to pass through, with good amenities, though it felt extremely windy, with many roadside trees bent over. We arrived after check-in time and couldn’t reach the host at the number listed online. There was another contact number at the property, though, and we managed to get in touch and check in successfully.

The room was clean and freshly renovated, but it felt like a cramped storeroom. It was claustrophobic and pokey, with a tiny window above the bed that let in almost no light. There were only 4 coat-hangers and nowhere to put luggage. The clean bathroom had an odd shape and a badly placed step at the entrance that bruised our toes. An extra towel rail and even a full-length mirror would have helped. We weren’t told work and renovations were ongoing, and the noise from the room opposite was disruptive at 7am on Monday. I won’t stay here again.

We came during school days and needed two rooms, so this motel was our only choice. I’d expected nothing more than a bed, but the rooms were surprisingly big, recently renovated, tidy, comfortable, and really thoughtful. The kitchen even had an air fryer, which was fantastic for reheating our leftover fish and chips. After reading older reviews, I understand the motel is under new management, and I think they can do much better than before. For the price, it’s the best option. Highly recommend.

The pool was nice and the location was fine, but the stay wasn’t the best. The room was far too small, the bed wasn’t comfortable, and people slamming doors made it noisy. There’s no undercover parking either. The rooms and bathrooms are old and could use renovation and a more modern look.
