Bright Accommodation Park

We liked being a little outside Bright. The roads looked busy in town, and the other parks seemed crowded. Here there was a nice social feel, with people being lovely and considerate of one another. Our kids enjoyed riding their bikes around the three parks and along the many roads. We had a powered site. The one downside was the bright light between lots 80 and 81, which shone into our tent. The toilets and showers were clean, and the water was good. We had a really nice time and will definitely come back.

We were there for a couple of nights, and the park was mostly quiet. There were a few short spells when kids rode bikes down the hill at the back as if it were their own mountain bike trail, plus one afternoon of several hours of drum practice from someone on the neighboring property. The showers were frustrating. Even though the signs asked us to keep them to 2-3 minutes, I think I spent much longer than that trying to get the temperature steady. The toilets were okay. We didn't see or speak to anyone we could ask a question, and the messages before arrival made it clear the people running the park didn't want anything to do with us. It felt like Covid times, awful. My husband and I would probably free camp before coming back.

We had a cosy stay in the Hotham cabin, with a comfortable bed and a good shower. A couch would have been useful, though the space would be tight. Check-in was unattended, but the details had been emailed to me. The park has a lovely relaxed feel, and it was great for bringing a dog. Its spot outside the main town was quiet, with a lovely walk into Bright.

The kids had such a great time here, and it was nice to see the new playgrounds. We came back for a second year, and the cabins were clean, comfortable, and well equipped. Thanks, BAP, for another fun and accommodating stay. See you next year!
