We had a string of problems, starting with being given the wrong room. We walked in on another family late at night, which was a serious privacy and security breach. After we were moved, the room was filthy, smelled of smoke and seemed uncleaned and poorly maintained. The carpets were dirty, and appliances and fittings were broken, including the TV, dishwasher and kitchen power points. It felt like we were left with someone else's mess. While we were out, someone went into our room without permission, took food and moved furniture. That was frightening and completely unacceptable. Staff didn't do anything meaningful to sort it out. They may have been polite, but there was no urgency, apology or accountability, and the care fell well short of what the price should buy. I wouldn't stay here if you care about safety, belongings or basic cleanliness. It isn't 4.5 stars by any stretch.

I came away very disappointed. The bathrooms were filthy, and the beds hadn't been cleaned properly. I found bed bugs and got bites all over my arms and legs. My son kept sneezing during the trip and had an allergic reaction, which I think was likely connected to the unsanitary conditions. I had to take medication for the itching and allergy symptoms, and the whole stay was uncomfortable. I hope management takes the cleaning problems seriously so future guests have a safer, more comfortable stay.

Sheila, the hotel manager, was so kind to us and helped whenever a problem came up. She went out of her way to make sure we had what we needed, and deserves a special thank you. The staff were welcoming and attentive from check-in, and the rooms were a good size and very clean.
