The bed was comfortable, but the motel feels very dated and badly needs renovation. The lighting is awful and the bathroom looks like it's from about 1970. I'd only stay here if it were a last resort.

The location is good, with food within walking distance, and the room is spacious, with a fridge, microwave and other things. But it's old and a bit dark inside, and the lighting in the room isn't bright enough. WiFi didn't reach the room, though they lent me a broadband device and a travel adapter for convenience. There wasn't fresh breakfast every day. If breakfast was included, they provided frozen food to heat yourself. I also had several issues with what we'd agreed. I said I'd check out and check in again during the stay, but that wasn't recorded and I was charged. I also asked them to charge my credit card at checkout and they agreed, then charged me the full amount a few days later. Next time, I'll have to make every conversation completely clear, because what we discuss doesn't seem to get followed.

I really enjoyed my stay at highpoint. The receptionist was very helpful, and the restaurant food was great. I'd definitely stay there again.

The restaurant was the best part for me. The meals were full of flavour, nicely made, generous, and every dish I tried was cooked just right. The waitresses were warm, attentive and professional, and made the dining room feel welcoming. Their friendly service gave the experience a personal touch and made me feel valued. I also stayed at the motel, and the room was comfortable and well presented, with everything I needed. Check-in was excellent from the start. Great food, a good room and lovely staff, I'll be back and would recommend it for a stay and a meal.
