Broadbeach Travel Inn Apartments

We’d booked a one bedroom apartment, but they upgraded us to a two bedroom at no extra charge, which was amazing. The rooms looked newly renovated and were very clean. The receptionist was welcoming and kind, and helped with everything we needed. I’d highly recommend staying here.

The apartment was clean, just right for a short Gold Coast stay, and the bed was extremely comfortable. There was no sea view, but the location was so good it didn’t matter. It’s between the beach and Pacific Fair, with everything within walking distance. The staff were lovely and helpful, and even the local residents were lovely. Having parking onsite was a relief after a long drive. Check in was easy, and I’d definitely stay again.

The floors were disgusting. I walked around barefoot for an hour and my feet turned black. There was wee on the toilet seat, and the toilet, kitchen and bathroom bins were dirty too. The oven still had bits of the previous guest’s food on the alfoil. I was the only guest in the unit, yet every night I ran out of hot water halfway through my shower.

I stayed five nights in superior one bedroom apartment #305 and felt safe there. You need a fob to get into the lift foyer and another to use the elevator. The bed was very soft but comfortable, Rex at reception was pleasant, and a small WiFi issue got sorted quickly. The spot is ideal, close to Broadbeach South light rail station, Pacific Fair and the Convention Centre. I used the kitchenette to make my breakfasts and meals before the Gold Coast Marathon. There was some traffic noise, but shutting the bathroom and hallway doors helped me sleep well. The clothes airer was useful too, as it meant less laundry to do once I got home. Foxtel was included, with plenty of TV options, which was nice for recovering after all those kilometres of running. I’d stay again. Booking directly with the hotel worked out cheapest compared with third party hotel sites.
