Great Escape at Chevron Renaissance

I will never come back, and I’ll tell everyone I know for as long as I’m alive not to give this place a cent. It was the worst place I’ve ever stayed: run down, dirty and smelly, and the inside was disgusting compared with how it looked online. It wasn’t easy to get to either. We had to collect keys somewhere else, then drive to another place and make our way through a maze to reach the apartment. There was lots of damage when we got in, including a missing draw. I took photos because the place was so gross, and that came in handy when they later tried to keep my bond over the missing draw. What am I meant to do with a draw, or where could I dispose of one from more than 10 stories up with cameras at the door? What a joke.

The rooms were filthy and outdated, and the place badly needs to close for a full maintenance overhaul. The A/C flooded our room, then we were blamed for it. Mantra Management, you scrape the bottom of the barrel!

At least they’re consistent about being incompetent. Every year we get the same check in mess. I ask to check in and they say our name isn’t on the list, then ten minutes later they tell us we have to pay a $300 deposit on a room that’s already fully paid. A heads up to my colleagues with the other 27 fully paid room bookings.

The main pool needs a lot of attention, and algae covers the facade. This is supposed to be a 4 star resort, but it’s beyond belief. I’m a high class Motel owner with a 1 star Michelin chef.
