Waking to the ocean and watching waves from the balcony were unforgettable, with breathtaking beach views from Hi Surf, Unit 23B. The patrolled beach directly across the road made it easy to surf and swim safely. Surfers Paradise shops, restaurants and entertainment were a short walk away, and the tram line was just steps from the building. The apartment was very comfortable, with a great king bed and air conditioning that kept it cool. I enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pools, and the front counter staff were always friendly and welcoming. My only small disappointment was not getting to play tennis. Everything else made up for it, and I'd happily return and recommend it for a beachside stay in Surfers Paradise.

The managers responded well when we raised a valid list of problems with apartment 7F, which booking.com had assigned us. It wasn't clean or usable, and wasn't set up for four people to stay for a week. We're not particularly fussy travellers. The owners either don't know how bad it is or don't care. Management moved us to 14E, which was fantastic. They have a genuine focus on customers and couldn't have handled it better. The lesson is that the apartments in Hi Surf aren't all the same, and the managers are great.

Beach views were a highlight every day, and the beach was an easy walk away. Reception were so lovely and accommodating that we got to check in early. Our apartment was spacious, clean and a great size for our family of five. The kids enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor pools, and our toddler especially loved the hot tub. We absolutely loved this relaxing stay at Hi-Surf and highly recommend it. The photos were taken as we were leaving. I can confirm the beds, lounge and everything else were clean and made up before we arrived.

It'd be great if the spas worked. Every time I'm down, at least one of them has a problem. People paying good money for a holiday shouldn't have to keep telling Admin what's not working. If the excuse is incompetence, that might explain it, but it doesn't make it acceptable.

The managers at Hi-Surf went above and beyond throughout our week. We came in on a red-eye from Perth, and the staff arranged for the apartment to be ready early. It had great views and the rooms were great. I'd highly recommend staying here.
