The staff were really helpful, and the location is great. Parking was outstanding too. The pool is small, with only a few loungers, so keep that in mind. I only learned about the building work around the property after I’d booked. My apartment was spacious enough, and the kitchen worked well. The lounge air conditioning was great. There wasn’t any in the bedroom, but the ceiling fan did the job without drying me out overnight. My main gripe was the windows: they aren’t double glazed, so street noise came straight in.

We spent Christmas week here with our two adult daughters, and the apartment felt relaxed, comfortable and like home. It was spotless and nicely presented, and worked perfectly for celebrating Christmas Day together. The manager was very accommodating when we asked to change rooms, going out of their way to move us to a front-facing apartment with a balcony. We also enjoyed the pool and BBQ area, which added to the holiday feel. The beach is just a stone’s throw away, making morning walks and swims easy. We’d gladly stay again and recommend it for a memorable getaway.

Island Beach Resort suited what we needed on this trip, so I gave it five stars across the board. The King size bed was very comfortable, and the location made it easy to get to appointments or walk to the beach. We were happy with our stay, will book here again, and will recommend IBR to anyone who asks.
