Jacobs Well Tourist Park

There were five of us, all over 70, and we used a cabin as well as powered and unpowered sites. Everyone agreed it was an excellent park and a big part of a memorable, enjoyable trip. I’ve just returned from three days there. The park is in great condition and very well cared for, with excellent amenities, shady sites and delightful, well equipped cabins.

Jacobs Well felt like countryside, with the drive through sugar cane country, even though it’s only 45 mins from Brisbane and less from the Gold Coast. We had a relaxing weekend swimming, toasting marshmallows and taking the boat out. The park is super close to the netted beach and ideal if you have a boat. We’d never been to Jacobs Well before, but had an awesome weekend before Christmas. Our caravan site was huge, one of the biggest we’ve had at any caravan park. The lovely owners gave us wood for the fire pit, and bringing our dog was no hassle. There are nice little touches like a herb garden and a coffee caravan at the front. We also ate at the Tavern across the road and totally recommend it. We’ll definitely be back.

All in all, it’s a beautiful place, and the staff were very nice. They helped this dummy get his tent set up. But when I came back five days later, I was turned away and told dogs could no longer stay in tents because people left them there while they went out. It seems those people spoiled it for everyone else. Thanks to the staff, and to the nice lady at the coffee stand out front who always made my puppy a puppycheno. Will & mouse

Had a great time and will definitely stay again. It’s a clean, relaxing place, with friendly, welcoming staff. There’s a lovely little van out front for morning coffee and snacks, and it’s close to the water for boating and fishing.
