Mantra Crown Towers Surfers Paradise

The lagoon-style pool was a huge hit with the whole family, and the place felt very family-friendly. The kids’ pool was great too. The pirate ship’s top wasn’t working, but the slide still was and the kids had a blast. A friendly, lovely lady ran the poolside kiosk, and staff were welcoming and helpful throughout. We also had free underground parking on site. Our two-bedroom, two-bathroom ocean-view apartment was spotless, spacious and comfortable, with a lovely open feel. We liked the lobby’s makeshift dark-sky ceiling with stars. It didn’t feel dark or dingy at all, just relaxing and different. We were so impressed we’ve already booked again for March. Highly recommend Mantra Crown Towers for families or anyone after a comfortable, well-equipped stay in Surfers Paradise.

Great restaurants right at the doorstep made eating out easy, and the pool was a highlight for the whole family, like a little tropical paradise. The apartment was clean, spacious and comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location is perfect, right in the middle of everything and handy for exploring the Gold Coast. Staff were friendly too. It was our first family holiday on the Gold Coast and couldn’t have been better. We’ll be back.

The views from level 11 were great, and the hotel has a good location, layout and amenities. We were disappointed that nobody told us the Pirate Ship and slide were out of use. Our room also hadn't been cleaned properly and is in need of a general refurbishment.

The construction made it hard to rest, with noise starting at 6:30am every morning and site lights shining through the curtains all night. When we raised the problems at arrival and asked to move, the alternative room wasn't any better. We were told our room would be cleaned and the curtains fixed, but no cleaning happened and the repair didn't hold. The curtain tracks were faulty and the curtains were already partly off them. There were plenty of other issues: a broken toilet seat, weak shower pressure and a drain that didn't work properly, a damaged vanity with a poor repair, and a bathroom sink with no plug or drain cover, which nearly cost us some personal items. The fridge wobbled when opened, our parking bollard had no padlock and couldn't be used, and the lift was confusing because we had to press “up” to go down. The room was dirty too. The sofa cushions were stained and smelled bad, with visible dirt underneath, so it seemed like the cleaning had been very superficial. We have stayed here before and were disappointed by how run down it has become. The lack of care and follow-through from staff when we reported the problems was especially concerning. Won't stay here again.
