Mari Court Resort

The grounds and the rooms have such a lovely feel to them, and the staff were fantastic. Surfers Central is close enough, but the resort sits just outside its noise and bustle. I was incredibly happy with our choice from the moment I came through the front doors to check in. The units are gorgeous, and I highly recommend the place.

Our level 1 stay in Unit 21 was a 2 bedroom Executive Apartment, beautifully renovated and furnished with lots of care. Looking out over the palms and gardens made it feel so relaxing. The garden and pool are kept up well and work really nicely for a family, with a lovely Queensland vibe.

The pool was lovely, a little heated so the kids could stay in for ages, and the spa was clean with a perfect temperature. The position was great too, just a short walk to the beach and nearest light rail station. The staff were helpful and accommodating, and the apartment itself was very nice, with a well stocked kitchen of brand new equipment, lovely furnishings, art and ornaments. We were the first guests after the apartment had just been listed, and there were a few teething problems. I work in accommodation myself, so I may have been more tolerant. There was no wifi, clearly not checked before it was rented, and it wasn't set up until day six of our seven day stay. We did get a temporary connection on day three. Staff didn't know there was no dishwasher, which some people might not like. No dryer made things difficult with three children, even in fine weather, and there was only one small clothes horse. When I asked, they gave me another. The mattress protectors were really tatty, stained and torn, and one was missing. All in all, a great place to stay.😉

The pool area looked nice, but the water was far too hot. The rooms were dirty, old and run down. For six people there were only two rolls of toilet paper, and once those are gone you have to buy more. The air con smelled bad, the bedrooms had no airflow, and the beds felt hard as concrete. I wouldn't recommend staying here.
