From the top floor, the apartment looks out toward the beach, which is just a street away. There’s plenty of good food right outside, and the pool, spa and sauna are in very good condition. Nights and early mornings can get noisy, though, with street sweepers and nightclub patrons making their way home.
Garry was a great host, and there were only two of us, but I’d happily recommend this place to anyone considering a stay. The room was clean, roomy and well equipped, with the sea view I’d asked for. Being right in the heart of Surfers Paradise made everything handy. That central spot also meant some noise from people at the nearby nightclubs. I’m very happy to say my stay at Monte carlo apartments was absolutely pleasant.
The air conditioning was a letdown. It only covers the living area, and that unit is too small to cool such a big space. The bedrooms got too hot to sleep in during summer. The place also felt a bit old fashioned to me and could use a proper revamp. It’s advertised as air conditioned, so we felt a bit cheated.
The hairdryer was really old and felt a bit dangerous to use, so I took off a star. The people there were easily the nicest and most awesome I’ve come across in all my travels. I can’t thank them enough for making our short stay so enjoyable.
