Spindrift on the Beach

The managers were rude, dismissive, unwelcoming, and unwilling to help, with a real no-can-do attitude. The apartments were extremely dated, and the place felt like a budget option. Near the pool, there was material coming out of a pipe that looked like exposed asbestos. We also got electric shocks when switching on the laundry room lights, and the manager failed to fix the problem. I’d definitely look elsewhere first.

This place is right on a beautiful beach, and the secure underground parking included with the room was a big bonus for the area. The building shows some wear, but the staff do a great job keeping it clean and tidy, and they were always incredibly friendly and helpful. The pool area was lovely, with comfortable loungers in a well-kept garden, a clean, nicely sized pool, gas BBQs, and a small spa. Our two-bedroom oceanview room was brilliant. The balcony had beautiful views of both the hinterland and coast, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Even with roadworks nearby, we could barely hear them with the doors closed. The breeze through the windows was lovely too.

Management were extremely rude and shouldn’t be in this industry. They took a $60 deposit because there was a bowl in the sink and “finger prints” on the bench. Stay clear of this hotel.

I had everything I needed for a glorious week in the very nice oceanfront apartment, with its lovely view. The staff were kind and professional. Having to use a fob to enter the parking garage and elevator also helped me feel safe. If I’m back in the area, this is where I’d want to stay again!
