Vue Broadbeach

The children had a great time, and the pool, spa and BBQ areas were beautifully kept. Our apartment at Vue Broadbeach was comfortable, modern and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. Staff were friendly, professional and very helpful, responding quickly to a couple of minor maintenance issues. They also went out of their way to let us use the BBQ area while the pool was closed and arranged extra parking even though they didn't have to. It was a little further from the Broadbeach shops than we first thought, but turned out to be a pleasant walk. We're glad we chose Vue Broadbeach and would definitely stay again.

My unit looked out over the beach, with an amazing view. The apartments are new, well equipped and maintained, and the kids loved the pool. Most things, including shops, the beach and tram, are walkable, yet far enough from the noise. Reception hours are a bit limited, but the late check-in process was smooth. We'll try to stay here again if we come to GC.

The reception team always makes a difference for us: they're welcoming, helpful and accommodating. Vue is one of our favourite places to stay on the Gold Coast. The rooms are consistently clean and well maintained, and the location is perfect for getting to the beach, restaurants, shopping centres and everything else we need. We enjoy every visit and look forward to coming back.

The hotel charged AUD 500 to my credit card about two hours after I checked out, without notice, explanation or my authorisation. I only noticed when I checked my bank statement. That card wasn't used for the booking or bond and I hadn't approved it for charges after the stay. At checkout, staff inspected the apartment, found no issues and returned my bond in full, so the stay was finalised. Later, the hotel said housekeeping had found a chipped kitchen floor tile after I left. Nothing had been raised at the official inspection, and I had no chance to see or verify the alleged damage. Despite several requests, the hotel gave me no formal invoice, confirmed repair cost or independent assessment showing I was responsible. I was expected to accept the hotel's internal claim without timely inspection, clear records or supporting documentation. I disputed the unauthorised charge with my bank, which reviewed the evidence and refunded the full amount. I also complained to the Queensland Office of Fair Trading. They recorded the matter and later closed it with no further action required. This is about payment card use and post-checkout charges, not comfort, amenities or location. If you stay here, document the room at check-in and check-out, get inspection confirmation in writing before leaving, and keep a close eye on any cards on file afterward. Based on my experience, I wouldn't stay here again.
