For the price, the room was nice and just right for our four-day birthday getaway. The location is handy, especially if you’re on a budget and still want a good view of Surfers Paradise. Shops, restaurants, the beachfront and public transport are all close. Service wasn’t great, though. There’s no room service, so it feels more like an Airbnb than a hotel. The amenities are a bit dated but okay. We had to clean before leaving because they charge if there’s any rubbish left, so you need to tidy up and take out your own garbage or risk losing your deposit. Not a good choice if you don’t want to clean up after yourself. The amenities are decent for the price, and it works well if you’re not too picky and want a budget-friendly, accessible location.

My room had been nicely updated and came with a patio overlooking the ocean, which is hard to find at this price. It’s also about a two-minute walk to the beach, with all sorts of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Reception staff were very friendly. Some photos on this Google listing are old, and amenities like the gym have been updated since. The building itself is a bit older, with small things like trim that needs repainting and older-looking ceiling fans, but none of that affected my stay. I really enjoyed it and would absolutely stay again. Just don’t expect a five-star hotel if that’s what you’re after.

The location was the only good part of a terrible stay. I’d emailed ahead to explain my husband had mobility issues, but they put us in a room with a bath and a huge step into it. The bath was rusty around the plughole, and the glass and floor were very unclean. I spoke with the manager and got little satisfaction about what I’d requested. We eventually changed rooms because of the bathroom. There’s no room cleaning, just basic toiletries, and no replacement linen or towels. The resort photos make the rooms look wonderful, but don’t be fooled, it’s old and worn. We would have moved out, but were told there’d be no refund. To cap it off, the manager said none of the apartments were adapted for people with a disability. I’m being honest so others don’t go through what should have been a fabulous week but turned into a nightmare. I tried to upload photos, but they wouldn’t load.

We arrived after an early drive from Sydney, tired and not expecting much. After checking in, we were surprised to find a beautiful apartment with a second bedroom we hadn’t expected and a stunning beach view. The look on my daughter’s face was priceless, and I felt proud I’d pushed through the stress to make the trip happen for her. I’d booked at the last minute for just my 12-year-old daughter and me, after my wife suddenly had to travel overseas for a family emergency. I’d searched for days and could only find studios or one-bedroom setups, and had resigned myself to sleeping on the lounge so my daughter could have a break from everything. Cheries was incredible from the moment we arrived. She was warm, patient and genuinely caring, the kind of service you rarely see now. Sorry if I’ve spelled her name wrong. It’s only the first day of our eight-night stay, but this already means a lot. Sometimes a small gesture makes all the difference. Thank you for reminding us that real customer service, kindness and care still exist.

The room felt like a run-down hideout, with stained ceilings, dated amenities and even foul-smelling soap. A strong stench lingered through the hallways and inside the room; the air freshener I bought barely helped. The ceiling fan swung so hard it seemed ready to come loose, the appliances were visibly rusty, and the crooked door often jammed unless I forced it. We chose this place because of our budget, but I regret it and wouldn't stay again. I'd only suggest it to someone after a horror-themed stay or a reminder to appreciate home. Otherwise, book somewhere else.
