The staff were friendly, helpful, and experienced, and getting to the seaside or shops is an easy walk. The views are stunning too. Windward Passage has purpose-built disability accommodation on two of its nine levels, with spacious apartments designed for wheelchair access. There’s suitable equipment, including personal hoists, slings in a range of sizes, and commodes, plus room for family members and carers. The layout includes two double bedrooms, one with an ensuite, an oversized separate bathroom and toilet, and a third toilet. The pool has ramp access, and a suitable wheelchair is provided for getting in and out of the water. A great place to stay.

I had a terrible experience with Alexandra as an AIRBNB host. I’d stay away from her and winwood passage. She runs plenty of apartments, but in my experience they weren’t kept clean and she didn’t seem to care about her guests. The apartments were in an absolutely terrible state. If she thinks that’s fine, I’d hate to see the house she lives in.

The penthouse is tremendous value, with unrivalled views across the passage to Caloundra centre. We’ve stayed twice this year, and both times the apartments were faultless, with spotless facilities. The owners are extremely pleasant and friendly. 10/10.

The view was picture perfect, and everything in the apartment was in tiptop order during our three nights at Windward Passage. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble. They even tried speaking French for my husband, which gave him a kick, though he speaks perfect English. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely go back.

Chris at reception was just lovely, and the rates were very reasonable. We stayed two nights and couldn’t have had a lovelier time. The apartment was clean and spacious, with spectacular views over the water. Highly recommend it.
