For business trips, I’ve stayed at the Abbey 10 or 12 times, usually for three or four nights. The location is central but quiet, and the service is flawless. Rooms are clean, nice and well maintained. I’ve tried three other places in Goulburn and they were perfectly okay, so there are other acceptable options. Still, when I have the choice, I stay at the Abbey every time.

The Abbey Motel has been my choice for quite some time, and I honestly wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Goulburn. I’ve tried many motels around town, and this is by far the best. The rooms are spotless, beautifully designed and comfortable, and the whole place feels fresh, new and well cared for. It’s peaceful and quiet, with plenty of parking. Reception staff are kind, respectful and very professional, and always go above and beyond. It sets a new standard for comfort and hospitality here. Highly recommended!

On our family drive from Brisbane to Melbourne, the motel made late check-in easy by contacting us and sending all the details. The rooms were clean, the bathrooms spacious and clean, and the location was perfect for exploring Goldburn on foot.

The room feels high quality the moment you walk in, and everything from the bathroom to the first-class linen on the king bed was lovely. Check-in was easy, and there’s secure off-street parking. The minibar was fully stocked, too. Great value for money, and I wouldn’t think twice about staying anywhere else in Goulburn. We’ll definitely be back.

We arrived in town around 4pm on a Sunday and hadn’t booked, but the staff were accommodating. We got a clean, sophisticated ground-floor room with plenty of parking, and could walk into the town centre. We saw the town’s Christmas carols, then walked to a lively pub where people chatted with us about the event, apparently thinking we were locals. A quick walk up the hill took us to the massive Church across the road, with all that history. We slept peacefully in the big bed, ready for another long drive to Sydney. Goulburn was a real delight.
