The restaurant onsite is a bit of a hidden gem, and it’s easy to get around from here since the town centre is within walking distance. Staff were friendly and efficient. Whether you’re here for work on contract or just travelling, it makes a great base, with a private pool for the summer heat.

We had to leave suddenly for work, and I’d left my jacket and scarf in the closet. The staff were really helpful and got my things back to me the same week. Everyone was very friendly. We’ll stay here again next time we’re in Griffith.

Dinner was even better thanks to Javier, the Argentine waiter. He was so friendly, professional, and attentive, an absolute legend. The food was delicious, nicely presented, and came in generous portions. I had a great experience at The Kidman Wayside Inn. Highly recommend it for the food and service.

I won’t be recommending this hotel to the sporting club. The water in the $235 room was very brown and there was no hot water, so nobody could shower. When I told reception, they said they’d been having problems with that room and were waiting for a plumber, but offered no compensation. We also booked another room for the same night. It had three beds, but they still charged extra for the second and third person. I was quoted $145, then had to pay $30 more for two beds that were already part of the room. That made no sense to me. I’ve seen lots of five-star reviews, but our experience wasn’t like that.
