3 Bedroom Surfers Paradise Apartment

The only thing I liked about this apartment was the outdoor view. The rest was disgusting, and it didn’t feel like a holiday at all. The bathroom doors wouldn’t lock, and there was no hot water, so we waited more than two hours for a shower. The so-called outdoor spa wasn’t heated and only had cold water. The kitchen was short on supplies for eating in. The rooms were dirty, with dated decor and chipped furniture. If you want a good holiday, don’t stay here. It’s not worth it.

We didn’t hear from the property until we’d landed, when they texted asking for photos of my credit card and driver’s licence. I called the manager because I was extremely uncomfortable sending those. He said he couldn’t give me the building entry code until I did, and suggested email instead. I said that seemed unacceptable too. When we arrived and called again, he said it was after hours and we still couldn’t get in without sending the details. In the end, with no other option, I sent them. The apartment was disgusting when we finally reached it. The toilets were filthy, there were holes in the walls and the back of the bedroom door, the ensuite shower screen was broken and smashed at the base, and the kitchen cupboards were sticky. I emailed the manager about the condition and still haven’t had a reply. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

The unit had the basic kitchen supplies we needed for meals, and having laundry facilities in the apartment was handy. It was clean, tidy and functional for our needs. Security access was good, and our vehicle felt safe the whole time. The price fit our budget, and the city centre of the coast was nearby. I’d consider staying again.

The one good thing is the location, within walking distance of Surfers Paradise’s main hub. Still, it’s not worth it. The place was filthy and way overpriced, and I’d never stay again. The lounge fan didn’t work; there were fake eyelashes in the bedroom, bugs in the bed, cockroaches, and stained sheets. It was very run down, the towels were ridiculously thin, and old pillowcases had been stuffed into the windowsill. Disgusting.
