Only the building exterior looked like the website photos. Inside, the carpets were filthy, the bedroom had no bedside tables, and small lamps clipped to the bed frame shone right into my face. It felt like badly furnished student accommodation. Finding the place was difficult too. When I arrived in Canberra, I got an SMS telling me to find a lock box tied to a railing on the pavement for the key, then had to walk through the basement garages to get in. I have pictures to share that show what I mean.

It was comfortable accommodation, though a few things need attention. There were no bedside tables or soap holder in the shower. With no reception on site, there must be an easier way to get the key.

We stayed one night as a family of five. The accommodation was pretty decent and in a good spot, about 15 minutes from Canberra city centre, with Woolies next door.

Everything else was great, and there’s underground parking for one car. We did have a bit of trouble getting the key out of the container, but that got sorted.
