Alyn Motel

We spent two nights in Gunnedah. The rooms were very clean and well presented, with linen, crockery, cutlery, and kitchen appliances for making breakfast from our own supplies. Even with days above 35 degrees and nights averaging 22, the air conditioning and ceiling fan kept the rooms comfortable. The motel is outside the main shopping area but near several places to eat. You can hear trains at night, though whether that bothers you depends on your sensitivity. The office was often unattended, so we had to call the number at reception for help. Fiona was extremely helpful: once she understood what we needed, she came promptly and made sure a solution was provided.

Fiona at reception was great to deal with and really helpful. The rooms are clean and nicely equipped for the price. I’d stay again in a heartbeat.

We’re a line dancing group from Brisbane, and since this Gunnedah event happens every year, we’ll be back at the ALYN Motel next year. Fiona and the team were incredibly friendly and interested in what we were getting up to, and Fiona went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and quiet, with blackout curtains too. Thanks to Fiona and everyone at ALYN for looking after us during our two nights there.

The beds and shower were great, and the service was friendly and helpful. The price was very reasonable, so I’d definitely stay again.
