The countryside is peaceful, and the sheep really do feel like neighbors. I loved the wood fireplace and seeing the Milky Way on a clear night. The house has plenty of space, thoughtful furnishings, and modern appliances, with a lovely renovation that made it feel like home. Philip and Francisca were wonderful hosts and even showed me around their farm. It’s about a 20-minute drive from Launceston, and shops and restaurants also require a drive. A lovely base for exploring Tasmania.

This neat, clean cottage was quiet, and the hostess was lovely. Breakfast on the first day was good, and the one-bedroom place had the essentials for a short stay. A few things could improve it: a softer mattress would suit people who don't like a firm one, a solar light by the gate sign would help visitors find it after dark, and washing machine instructions would be useful. We could also have used more heater pellets on cold nights. Places to eat nearby are very limited.

Francisca gave us such a warm welcome, and there was lovely homemade bread and muffins. The cottage was clean and clearly well cared for, in beautiful, quiet countryside. We'd happily stay again.

For the price, this was great value. There was a washer and dryer, plus a screened patio with a nice view. The place was spacious, clean, and well equipped, with a good kitchen, dining room and counter, sitting room, and living room. The surroundings were very peaceful.

A quiet farmhouse in the countryside, renovated beautifully and set among paddocks where cattle and sheep graze. The owners have thought carefully about guest comfort. It's one of those rare little accommodation gems.
