Discovery Parks - Hahndorf

Our powered site was right by the playground, ramp circuit and mini golf, so the kids were happy. The games room was well equipped too, and came in handy on a hot day. There are good facilities, including the toilets, shower and laundry, and the powered sites have easy access to water, power and grey water drainage. It’s a great place to stay with a family. We’ll be back!

The kids had a great time with the bouncing pillow, playground, bike track and mini golf, which added a lot to our stay. Our cabin was comfortable, had everything we needed and looked out over the lake. We especially enjoyed the morning sun on the big deck. The park is very well kept, with lovely gardens and lots of trees. We were in a cabin, but the caravan sites looked good too, with garden space and a tree at each one. When the trees grow a bit more, they should give shade in summer while still letting light through in winter. One small hassle was that there wasn’t a walkway along the side of our cabin to our car, so we had to pass our neighbours’ front area each time. A really nice park and an enjoyable stay.

The friendly, helpful staff and the Christmas decorations throughout the park added to our stay. We had a powered site, and it was spacious, with hedges and plants around it for privacy. The whole park was extremely well maintained, and the amenities and camp kitchen were spotless and in good condition. There were plenty of extra features to keep adults and kids occupied. This was the cleanest, best maintained park we’ve stayed in.

There was lots for younger travellers to do, and the location was quiet with easy parking. We travel a lot, and this was easily the cleanest cabin we’ve ever stayed in. It was arguably better than many hotel rooms too. The decor looked recently refurbished, fresh, modern and tasteful. The bed and pillows were comfortable, the linens crisp, and the strong blockout curtains helped us get a good night’s sleep. This place really impressed us. We’d stay again and recommend it 10/10.
