A Heavenly Escape

We felt tucked away among the bush, with views from every window, birds visiting and heaps of kangaroos around, though town isn't far away. The outdoor space was nice, and the place was fresh smelling and very clean when we arrived. The bed was on the firm side but comfortable, and the pillows were fantastic. The decor was lovely. We heated the unit easily with both the reverse cycle air con and wood fire. The spa bath went unused. The shower was okay with plenty of hot water, though its pressure was low while the pressure elsewhere was good. It was a nice place to stay.

The house is lovely and cosy, with beautiful colours, high ceilings and wooden beams. We had all sorts of birds come by, and that $10 bakery voucher was a nice bonus. The Lindt raspberry chocolate was very good too. The bed suited me perfectly, firm but soft at the same time, and the heater worked well. There was also a fireplace and an oil heater for the bathroom, which was a thoughtful touch. We had a great time and will definitely come back. The one letdown was the spa jets. Turning them on brought chunky brown bits into the water. We refilled the tub a couple of times and ran the jets, but couldn't clear it. We still enjoyed the tub without using the jets, though it would have been bliss to run them.

Two kangaroos came right up to our doorstep, probably the best part of the trip. After days out exploring, it was lovely to return to somewhere warm, clean and comfortable despite the cold, dreary weather. The cabin is surrounded by trees and has everything you could think of. The couch was super comfortable and set up to enjoy the tree view or one of Timothy's many movies. The music was a bonus too, especially the chillwave playlist, right up my alley. The bed was cosy and comfortable as well. Timothy replied quickly to my questions and gave us lots of useful ideas for things to do and places to eat around the area. It was a great stay and I'd definitely return.

My wife and I have stayed at both Heavenly Escape and Heavenly Retreat, and we won't stay anywhere else when we visit halls gap. The owners are great people who really look after you. It's a quiet getaway, hard to beat for the price and quality. Thumbs up, guys!
