The managers were so friendly and helpful, and the park sits right by the river with plenty of wildlife around. There are great facilities for kids too, so we’d happily come back next time we’re in Tasmania. Our three-bedroom cabin suited us perfectly, with lots of space, everything we needed, and a clean, well-presented feel. The main bedroom also had its own bathroom. The park uses bore water, but fresh drinking water was provided for us.

Kelso caravan park came to the rescue after every site at Narawantapu National Park was taken over the long weekend. We ended up on a grassy, unpowered spot tucked near the trees and had a lovely time. It was quiet, clean, tidy and relaxing, and the manager worked hard to make sure everyone was happy. We’ll definitely be back.

Our grandkids had a fantastic time during the five nights we spent here. We had two powered sites, both with plenty of room, and there was lots for them to do, including the pool, pedal bikes and playground, plus space to play cricket. The amenities were spotless and well looked after, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Highly recommend.

We’ve been here for eight nights on a powered site. It’s a peaceful place with lots of wildlife, and the sites are huge, with grass and concrete areas. The pool area is lovely and the amenities are spotless. The manager is new, but very friendly and helpful, and doing a fantastic job. Highly recommend this park.

The enclosed camp kitchen made meal prep easy, and the showers were only $1, hot and clean. We found the permanent residents friendly too, which added to the welcoming feel. The young family who recently took over Kelso Sands Holiday and Native Wildlife Park were incredibly helpful and made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. There’s lots of space to explore and a great playground for the kids. We were thrilled to spot wallabies, bush hens, wombats, and even a Tassie devil that came to visit. It’s a great base for exploring the Tamar Valley area, and we highly recommend it for a family getaway.
